Journeyman
Here is a rough script of how this animation was to unfold:
camera comes down through the clouds high overhead to reveal a glacier/ice
field ringed by monolithic mountains in the distance. camera passes
over the Journeyman and flies in to see him walking as if on a pilgrimage.
tracks in the snow stretching back as far as can be seen. walking. walking.
suddenly a butterfly flies from behind and flitters about the Journeyman's
face before ascending in a spiral pattern toward the endless bluesky.
walking. an end to the ice appears on the horizon. walking. (cuts of
different camera angles.) the Journeyman finally makes it to the edge
of the ice and stares, stops, and stares into the distance. the sea.
the horizon. the edge of the world. (comments added 4/13/2003)
